Media is in Stan Bush’s DNA. He started reporting at 14 for his local newspaper, The Skagway News (Serving the Gateway to The Klondike since 1897) He has been immersed in the media landscape ever since. In addition to his newspaper experience, his career highlights include broadcast news reporting for more than decade, as well as sportscasting for radio and television.
He’s now using his skills and experience with Rockford Gray, focusing on media and presentation coaching, crisis communications, and strategic media counseling.
Before working with Rockford Gray, Stan was a reporter at KCNC-TV, CBS Denver where he specialized in politics, business, science, and the environment. Stan won a Murrow Award for breaking news, filed reports that won Emmys, and was Emmy-nominated numerous times for documentaries and special reports that did not win . . . and yet he is not the slightest bit bitter.
Stan graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School of Public Communications and Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He also played football for the Syracuse Orangemen as a valued reserve who never made it into a game.
