Our Founders

Marv Rockford and Steve Gray, both experienced journalists, founded Rockford Gray in 2003 to help businesses and government agencies use the power of storytelling.

“Marv and I saw Rockford Gray as providing real-world counsel and coaching,” explains Steve Gray. “We also saw ourselves as delivering these services to our clients in a collaborative way with senior management, in-house staff and other outside counsel.”

Constantly building on that foundation, Rockford Gray offers real-world media training, presentation skills coaching and crisis communication training. We also provide communication strategy, messaging and media relations services.

“We are unafraid to ask the hard questions or give the necessary counsel executives might not want to hear,” says Gray.
