Jen Thurman, Executive Coach
Even as a junior level communications pro at the beginning of her career Jen Thurman was always the simple, straightforward voice that saved many an emperor from overexposure.
As an executive coach, Jen works with senior executives and their teams to support their goals of achieving meaningful change and making an important impact in their organizations, their industries and in the world. Her clients are senior leaders and entrepreneurs who champion world-changing ideas.
Jen transitioned to full-time executive coaching after 18 years in corporate communications, where she advised, consulted and coached senior executives in healthcare, telecommunications, retail, and education. She specialized in planning and executing strategic initiatives that drove growth and supported amazing cultures, so leadership coaching was a logical extension.
Most recently in her corporate career, Jen led communications for Medtronic’s Surgical Innovations – one of that company’s largest business units. She has also served as vice president of communications for a ProBuild Holdings, spent eight years in telecom at Level 3 Communications (now CenturyLink) and cut her teeth at the Leeds School of Business managing web communications.
Adding to the proof that she has very diverse interests, Jen holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
