12 years of news reporting and more than 25 years of consulting gives Steve the right to wear all of his gray hair.
Steve formed Rockford Gray with business partner Marv Rockford to focus on issues management, crisis communications, media training and presentation skills coaching for organizations of all sizes.
Prior to founding Rockford Gray, Steve was CEO of BVP Media Inc. BVP was a full service marketing and communications firm. Before his work at BVP and Rockford Gray, Steve was an award winning news reporter in Detroit, Denver, St. Louis, Colorado Springs and Washington, N.C. In the course of his career as a reporter, he received numerous awards including an Emmy for news reporting while at KCNC-TV, Denver. Steve was also one of the lead reporters for the WDIV-TV, Detroit newscast that won UPI’s “Newscast of the Year” Award.
Steve is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Maxwell School Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University with a Degree in Journalism and Political Science. Steve also attended the University of Colorado, but we don’t talk much about his days in Boulder.
